Jika Windows XP Anda mengalami seperti :

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt :
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair



Jangan diinstal ulang ! apalagi banyak data dan aplikasi original yang penting. Lagian akan memakan waktu yang lama untuk back up data dan instal-instal ulang.

Ini solusi yang ampuh :

• Siapkan CD Windows XP dan masukan ke Optic drive
• Tekan tombol 'r' untuk masuk ke mode recovery

Setelah muncul :

Microsoft WIndows XP Recovery Console... dan saat ditanya

1: C:\WINDOWS
Which Windows installation would you ike to log onto ?

ketikkan angka 1



setelah masuk ke :

C:\WINDOWS>

ketikan perintah : cd \windows\system32\config

C:\WINDOWS>cd \windows\system32\config



kemudian ketikan perintah berikut :

copy \windows\repair\system

Kita ditanya overwrite systems (Yes/No/All) :
ketikan : Yes atau Y trus enter
